Wolverines QB Sheridan To Miss Practice Time With Leg Injury

POSTED: 6:34 pm EDT March 26, 2009

(Sports Network) - University of Michigan head football coach Rich Rodriguez announced senior quarterback Nick Sheridan will be out for the rest of spring practice after sustaining a fractured leg.

Sheridan, who started the final three contests last season and four overall, was injured at practice session on Tuesday afternoon.

"He's got a small fracture in his lower leg," Rodriguez said. "According to the trainer's talk it's not a displaced fracture so he doesn't have to have surgery. It's four to six weeks and then he'll be good to go. So that takes him out of the rest of practice and spring ball, but for summer workouts he'll be fine."

The signal-caller threw for 613 yards and two touchdowns last season, completing 63-of-137 passes. He has appeared in 10 career games, including four starts.
