MAYVILLE, Mich. -- The body of a missing hunter was found over the weekend in Tuscola County.

The Sheriff’s department said 32-year-old Robert Hascall, of Mayville, left to go bow hunting Saturday afternoon.

Hascall’s family reported him missing Saturday night.

His body was found Sunday morning on his property near the woods behind Mayville High School.

Investigators said it appears Hascall fell from his tree stand, which was 30 feet in the air.

There was no safety harness on the stand or on Hascall.

In 2005, according to the DNR’s Web site, three hunters died in the state and 19 were injured.
