JEROME TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Chief Bob McNett with the Jerome Township Fire Department said a fire destroyed an area mobile home on Sunday.

McNett said the blaze broke out just after 2 p.m. on North 9 Mile Road between West Short and West Wackerly roads.

The road was shut down to traffic while crews fought the flames.

According to McNett, no one was home when the blaze began.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
