SAGINAW, Mich. -- Saginaw police are investigating the death of a 36-year-old man who was found shot to death in the city’s south side.

Police said several neighbors heard gunshots just before 5 p.m., shortly before the body of Stan Marice Kelsey was discovered against a curb on Gilmore at Bundy Monday afternoon.

However, with no gun casings found at the scene and a lack of witnesses to the actual crime, investigators are preparing for a time-consuming case.

"We don’t know if he was dumped here or it actually happened here," Saginaw police detective Mark Lively said. "It may be very challenging because we have nothing at this point."

Kelsey was the third slaying victim in the city of Saginaw this year.
