SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Saginaw Township teacher has been arrested on drug and weapons charges.

Reuben Ranke, 51, is an Arrowwood Elementary School aide and was taken into custody late last month as FBI agents investigated child pornography allegations.

The teacher has since been on unpaid leave. A search warrant was obtained and during the search of the aide’s home, several handguns, rifles and long guns were found.

Authorities said they also found a small amount of cannabis during the search.

Officials stress the child pornography charges have nothing to do with the school, and nothing was found when background checks were done during the hiring process.
