Utility Crews Work To Restore Power Across Michigan

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Crews are working to restore power to utility customers across Michigan after weekend storms.Detroit Edison said about 4,000 customers -- including about 3,000 in Oakland County, 600 in Tuscola County and 200 in Sanilac County -- lost power because of Sunday’s storms.Utility spokesman John Austerberry said service to customers without power before Sunday's storms has been restored.CMS Energy said it has about 2,000 homes and businesses without power Monday morning.
That number includes about 700 in the Bay City area and 450 in the Grand Rapids area.The latest outages came on the heels of 730,000 blackouts caused by a series of storms that hit the state.
