BAY CITY, Mich. -- A woman has been seriously burned and four other people are injured after an early-morning fire in Bay City.The blaze started around 3 a.m. in the 200 block of North Monroe Street.Firefighters said seven people, including three children, escaped the fire but a 44-year-old woman suffered second-degree burns to over 40 percent of her body. The out-of-town woman was transported to the burn unit at Hurley Medical Center.Two others suffered from smoke inhalation.Two firefighters suffered minor injures and were treated at the scene.The home is considered a complete loss.Stay tuned to WNEM.com and TV5 as more information becomes available.
