The Bay County Sheriff's Department said an 18-year old Kawkawlin man and his 16-year old girlfriend from Midland fought with deputies trying to break up a drinking party.

Reports indicate the deputies arrived at the man’s house early Monday, and that as police were attempting to break up the party, the girl spit into a sheriff's deputy's eye.

Two patrol cars also were damaged.

The man was being held in the Bay County Jail, while the girl was held at the Bay County Juvenile Center.

Two boys at the home were released to their parents.
