BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police are asking for the public’s help in solving Saginaw’s latest homicide. It happened just before 5 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Remington. Michelle Serales lives right down the street from the Soul Survivors Motorcycle Club on Saginaw’s east side. She said she hears gunshots in her neighborhood just about every night and that this latest shooting has her and her family on edge.Saginaw police said the shooting happened outside the after hours club, around 4:45 a.m.
Authorities said a man approached the victim while he sat in a car and shot him once in the head.At this time, the victim’s name is not being released. The shooting is Saginaw’s 11th homicide this year, and it has civic groups like Parishioners on Patrol upset.Parishioners on Patrol actually walk through tough Saginaw neighborhoods acting as an extra set of eyes and ears to help dissuade criminals from acting out and to help residents feel safer in their neighborhoods.
