Police: Man Killed In Alcohol-Related Crash

Early Morning Crash Kills 58-Year-Old

The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department said a Mount Pleasant man was killed in an alcohol-related crash in Deerfield Township.

Gary Edwin Moe, 58, died Thursday morning when his car veered off Hiawatha Driver, crossed a ditch and struck a tree.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m.

Police said Moe was not wearing a seat belt at the time his 2002 Dodge Intrepid crashed into the tree.

Moe was taken by helicopter to Covenant Health Care in Saginaw where he was pronounced dead.
