MIDLAND, Mich. -- Midland police responded to the scene of a man with an accidental gunshot wound Wednesday night.

Police were called to a Speedway gas station on Eastman Avenue around 10 p.m. and found a security guard who had shot himself in the buttocks while getting out of his armored vehicle.

The man, 26, from Grand Blanc, was transported to Midland’s hospital for treatment.

Police did not release the man's name or the severity of his injury.
