Potholes In Mid-Michigan
-Miller Rd. south of Swan Creek Rd. is almost impassable. The entire road is heaving and deteriorating and is basically one pothole and gully after another. Signs have been posted closing Miller to thru traffic because of the condition of this road. Hart Rd,between S. Miller and S. River, is also deteriorated and in need of repair. Every spring the people living on Hart and Miller have to deal with this. These roads are falling apart. The only maintenance that has been done in the last 10+ years is to throw shovels of hot tar mix on the holes and let the cars pack it down. Take a ride down Hart (between RIver and Miller) and Miller Rd. See for yourself what we have to drive on every single day.
-South Lincoln Street between the Rail Trail and Kosciusko (22nd St.) in Bay City has been in bad shape for years, especially the east side of the road. You could always tell who the locals were because they were the ones who knew enough to hug the center line when driving north, avoiding the 'roller coaster'. Now, that whole section of road, both east and west is one big obstacle course, and it's not unusual to see people 'weaving' while venturing down this stretch of road.
-Henry St in Bay City is horrible. Sure, they have worked on it between Midland St and Wilder Rd, but what about the rest of it that heavy trucks drive down hundreds of times a day? I was scared to death today walking my dog along Henry St, I saw a gas tanker shifting all around because of the pot holes.
-All of Hackett Rd.- between McCarty Rd. and Midland Rd. The road is so bad that you can’t find a spot in the road that doesn't have a pot hole. The road is uneven and rolls from side to side. This road is damaging our cars!
-The intersection of N. Walnut and E. Ohio Streets in Bay City is Atrocious. This intersection is heavily traveled as you turn south on onto Walnut to go over the Liberty Bridge.
-Lots of pot holes on Alvin St. (all 6 blocks)in Saginaw township. Also wish someone would fix the railroad track crossing on Mackinaw, between Shattuck and Schust. Even though the sign says bump, no matter how slow you drive, you go flying when the tires hit the track. Ouch to the tires!
-South Walnut from Midland, south to Veterans Bridge is a mess. You can see the bricks from the old road beneath. That patch they use comes right out after a few cars pass over it. Patching is not the answer.
-There is a very large pothole right in front of the Bridgeport Charter Township Fire Department. It is about 3 feet in diameter, and it is deep.
-Huge pothole located in the north bound lane of Johnson just before the stop sign at McKinley in Bay City. You can't see the hole because it is covered with water. It must be about 4" deep and 12" across. Be careful because it will break a strut on the passenger side front wheel.
-The worst potholes I have seen are the ones around the Midland Mall. They are huge and numerous and make driving around that area extremely difficult. They are all over but are the worst back by Target and Elder Beerman.
-Potholes everywhere on N. Frost Dr. north of Seidel Rd. In Saginaw Township and my road is full of potholes and getting worst. Drive by and take a look.
-When TV5 talked about the Marquette/Walnut corridor please do not stop there. When Vets Bridge and Layfayette was closed, these heavy trucks and vehicles were diverted to go under the bridge from S Henry to Midland Street. The section from Jenny to Midland is as bad as the section from Marquette to Vermont.
-This road between willowbrook and Seidel is horrible. For the last three years it has uprooted at the end of my driveway and the potholes are ridiculous. I have been after the county and the township and get nothing but a run around. With school buses and the amount of cars that travel this road daily it is a danger to all vehicles and to be honest with the speed they are doing I am waiting for a piece of the road to come thru my front window or injure one of my children while they are outside in my driveway. I have had it with getting no where with people.
- Saginaw Twp. Corner of Saxton Drive and Wexford, on Wexford. One entire lane and deep too!!!!!!!!!!
