The recovery package includes funding for a number of provisions from Stabenow's Green Collar Jobs Initiative. Stabenow projects the recovery package to create more than 100,000 Michigan jobs.

The event, which was held in Frankenmuth Friday afternoon, also featured guest speaker Rick Doornbos, president and CEO of Hemlock Semiconductor Corporation.

Saginaw Future honored 30 local companies for investing more than $1.1 billion in Saginaw County in 2008, and creating and retaining 2,254 jobs.
