BRANT, Mich. -- An overnight fire destroyed a barn in Brant on Saturday morning.

The blaze happened in the 1500 block of Schroeder Road, just west of M 52 in Saginaw County.

At least half a dozen departments responded to the scene just after 2:30 a.m.

The barn was fully engulfed when crews arrived, and it quickly fell under the onslaught of the fire. No one was injured, and all the animals that were inside the barn got out in time.

Some farm equipment was damaged, however.
