Tuscola County Sheriff’s deputies said a husband and wife were killed after a crash Saturday afternoon.

Police said a pickup truck driven by Harold Parker, 78, from Owendale, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Deckerville and Hurds Corner roads.

A vehicle driven by Lynda Galloway, 49, from Decker, was struck and after impact, Galloway was thrown from the car and died.

Her husband, 48-year-old Joel Galloway, was the lone passenger in her vehicle and he too passed away at the scene.

Parker was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Authorities said all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Police said they do not suspect drugs or alcohol to play a role in the crash.
