CLAYTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A farm worker has been killed in a tractor accident in northern lower Michigan.Authorities told The Bay City Times a tractor overturned in a ditch Monday afternoon, trapping 71-year-old Leonard Papiernik underneath.An autopsy is planned. The ditch was dry.It happened in Arenac County's Clayton Township near the village of Sterling, about 30 miles north-northwest of Bay City.Papiernik was a longtime employee of Berry Tree Farm, run by Glenn Berry.Investigators also were trying to determine what caused the tractor to slide off the road.
