The Frankenmuth Brewery is reopening in July and its looking for a few dozen employees.

Turnout was steady Tuesday as people lined up to land a new job in Michigan’s touch economy.

Those jobs will be going quickly as the brewery wants to hire its entire staff by Friday.

Brewery manager’s plan on hiring up to 100 people to bartend, wait tables, greet guests, cook and manage.

The establishment is even hiring a few brew-master assistant positions.

When the brewery opened its doors Tuesda, qualified job-seekers were granted two interviews and given a personality test.

“It’s been awesome, it’s so fun,” said Dave Scholten, the general manager of the brewery. “The city’s welcoming us with open arms. The community’s been very supportive.”

The micro-brewery and restaurant are expected to open on July 1.

"We will interview a thousand people or more in order to hire high-quality individuals who are dedicated to serving our guests," said General Manager David Scholten.

The Frankenmuth Brewery was heavily damaged in a 1996 tornado and closed in 2006 after owners couldn't refinance a $3.9 million loan. Birmingham-based Steward Capital Management Inc. bought the brewery in January.

"[Its] great economic times to open a restaurant," said Scholten.

Restaurant management said when fully developed the 30,000 square foot brewery will feature seating for 300 indoor diners and 250 patio diners.
