Midland Police said they are searching for a man they say tried to abduct a 17-year-old girl.

Authorities said it happened Friday night along the Pere Marquette Rail Trail.

Published reports said the Midland girl was rollerblading near Tittabawassee and Dublin roads when a white man with a distinctive nose jumped out and tried to grab her.

Police said she was able to break away and skate to her vehicle.

The Homer Township incident has police asking the public for any information they might have regarding the case.
