Saginaw Township’s Holiday Inn Express had 50 flat-panel televisions stolen from their property.

The hotel is remodeling and upgrading many rooms at its Tittabawassee Road location.

The hotel manager told TV5 old tube televisions were being upgraded with the flat-panel TVs.

The manager said usually, higher-priced items are stored in an empty room at the hotel but no rooms were available as they are running at full occupancy.

The televisions were being stored in a trailer next to the hotel.

The manager said sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, someone cut two locks off the doors and stole the 50 sets.

The televisions are valued at over $20,000.

Saginaw Township police are investigating the incident.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the theft to call 989-791-7226.
