At the end of July, 110 Allied Systems truckers will be laid off when General Motors closes its medium-duty truck line at Flint Truck Assembly.

Allied moves new vehicles from plants to dealerships.

Allied employees that move newly constructed pickup trucks will still have a job in at the Flint office.

The workers will be given the chance to transfer to other locations in Michigan and another 89 hubs nationwide.

Laid-off employees will not receive a severance, but will retain recall rights under contract. Sixty workers will remain at the site.

Roughly 400 people will lose their jobs when GM closes the Flint Truck plant on July 30.
