Friends and family will say their final goodbyes to a Beaverton soldier Wednesday.

Sgt. Timothy David, 28, made the ultimate sacrifice a week ago when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle in Iraq.

David’s body was flown into MBS International Airport Monday morning.

TV5 spoke with his father, who said his son deserves to be remembered and respected.

“Tim always told us don't worry about nothing until someone comes to the door and, Jesus Christ, it happened," said Michael David. “He was a good guy, and I just hope everybody can give him a good send-off, he deserves that."

Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 9 p.m. at the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.

David’s funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Beaverton High School.
