TUSCOLA COUNTY, Mich. -- A Schwan’s delivery truck driver escaped serious injury Monday evening after his vehicle burst into flames.The fire began just after 7 p.m. as the propane-filled vehicle turned from Hopper Street headed east on Gilford Road.Russ Turner witnessed the fire and sent WNEM TV5 several photographs of the blaze.You can view them here: TV5 Viewer Photographs Schwan's Truck FireCaro fire chief David Mattlin credits firefighters' quick actions in limiting the fire to the vehicle’s front end.Mattlin said his crew was heading to a firefighters meeting when they received the call and were at the scene within minutes.Investigators believe an engine part may have malfunctioned and sparked the blaze.Stay tuned to WNEM.com as more information becomes available.
