Michigan State Police in Bay County are investigating a burglary that took place in Merritt Township Tuesday.

Troopers told TV5 that someone entered a home in Munger near Kinney Road during the day and stole cash, collectible coins and high-end electronics.

The homeowners were at work.

Troopers are asking area pawn shops and banks to be on the lookout for anyone tying to cash in the items, which include a new 50-inch Samsung plasma television, a 42-inch Toshiba HDTV, American and Canadian cash, and various silver coin collections.

Neighbors told police they noticed an “out-of-the-ordinary” older blue vehicle with a rusty roof in the area around the time of the break-in.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact MSP.
