A 68-year-old Vassar woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Arbela Township.

Tuscola County sheriff’s deputies said 66-year-old Beverly Socia, of Millington, failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Bray and Millington roads just after 11 a.m.

A vehicle driven by Donna Pogoreski, of Vassar, was traveling southbound on Bray Road when it was struck broadside, according to a new release.

Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.

Pogoreski was flown by Life Net Helicopter to Hurley Hospital where she later passed away from her injuries.

Socia was also injured and transported to St Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Deputies said the crash remains under investigation and when completed the report will be forwarded to Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark Reene.
