Cass City Student, 18, Dies After Seizure

Grief Counselors To Assemble For Students

Cass City High School will have grief counselors available Friday after one of its students collapsed during lunch and died.

School officials told WNEM TV5 that Corey Sanders, 18, collapsed Thursday in the cafeteria after having a seizure disorder.

The school nurse, along with paramedics and police administered CPR but were unable to revive him.

Sanders was transported to Hills and Dales General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

All extracurricular activities Thursday were canceled but Friday's football game against Harbor Beach is still schedule to take place.

Approximately 150 students were in the cafeteria at the time Sanders collapsed.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
