A Davison teen remains in critical condition after a weekend crash in Lapper County.

Lapeer County sheriff’s deputies said the crash happened just after 4 p.m. Sunday in Hadley Township at the intersection of Washburn and Pratt roads.

Deputies said Nathaniel Bergquist, 18, was traveling north on Washburn Road when his 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier failed to stop at the Pratt Road intersection. Bergquist entered the path of a 2008 Ford Econoline Van traveling east on Pratt Road and was struck.

Deputies said rescue workers had to cut open the Cavalier to pull Bergquist out.

The van driver and her four passengers were not injured.

Bergquist was transported to Hurley Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
