Caseville Township Single-Car Crash Kills Man

Police Say Bernard Wiechert, 83, Died Wednesday

HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police said an 83-year-old man is dead after slamming his SUV into a tree in Huron County’s Caseville Township.

Authorities said the crash happened Wednesday afternoon while Bernard Wiechert was driving on M-25.

Investigators believe a medical issue may be to blame for the crash.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
