Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a Friday morning rollover crash that injured five people in Wheatland Township.

Deputies said a 21-year-old Sandusky woman was driving south on Stinger Road when she lost control on the gravel road just before 3 a.m.

The vehicle came to rest in a corn field on the west side of the road, but not before ejecting three of the four passengers.

One female passenger and two male passengers, all from Sandusky and in their 20s, and another 20-year-old passenger from Port Huron were transported to McKenzie Hospital.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Deputies said the driver was treated at the scene.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, deputies said.
