Sheriff's deputies in Lapeer County said they are investigating a wreck that sent three teens to an area hospital Friday.

Authorities said the crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Bowers Road in Attica.

Deputies said 17-year-old Gabriela Miranda drove across the center lane and side-swiped another car before her vehicle spun out and rolled several times, throwing her 16-year-old passenger -- Danielle Shipley -- from the vehicle.

Investigators said 15-year-old Alejandro Miranda was also in the car.

All three were taken to Hurley Medical Center.

As of Saturday morning, Shipley remains in critical condition. Gabriela and Alejandro were said to be in stable condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

Deputies said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
