The Isabella County Sheriff’s Department is looking into an attempted abduction that occurred after Wednesday’s Central Michigan University football game.

Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski said a man jumped out of the back seat of a dark-colored four-door vehicle and tried to force a 19-year-old woman walking home into the car.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Bluegrass Road, near the Wal-Mart.

Mioduszewski said the intended victim escaped the abduction by screaming and kicking.

After the attempted was foiled, the man jumped back into the vehicle -- which fled east on Bluegrass Road.

The girl told police she didn’t recognize the men.

Mioduszewski said the suspect and driver were both white males.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff's department.
