GLADWIN COUNTY, Mich. -- A one mile stretch of M-30 between Brush Arber and Red Oak Drive has been reopened after a short standoff between Gladwin County sheriff’s deputies and a man.The standoff started at about 4 p.m. when deputies arrived at a residence north of Edenville Road to serve a felony arrest warrant, WNEM TV5 reported.Police said the man had been doing yard work with a .45 caliber handgun on his person.Police said a short scuffle broke out and police managed to wrestle the gun from the man, but he escaped into his home and barricaded himself inside.Authorities had blocked off a portion of M-30 in the fear that the man had more weapons inside the home.Police said the man surrendered to authorities and was arrested. The man’s name and any additional charges pending against him have not been released.
