Suspects Arrested In Saginaw Man's Shooting

SAGINAW, Mich. -- Saginaw police said they were called to the scene of a shooting early Sunday morning.Officers went to the Lime Lite After Hours Club at East Genesee and Burt Street.Shortly after, a man arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital. The victim, Stephon Deshawn Brandon, 27, had been shot in the upper chest and died of his wounds while in surgery.Detectives worked throughout the day and late Sunday night, they executed a search warrant related to the case.Police said a person of interest was taken into custody and a total of three people are currently lodged in the Saginaw County Jail.Thanks to witness’s willingness to come forward, detectives said they were able to act quickly.“There’s pressure from the community to have people step up,” said Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Joseph Dutoi. “In this case they did.
