Two people died in a fire that broke out on Thanksgiving Day in a mobile home park in Vienna Township.

Genesee County authorities said a man and a woman were found dead in the Maple Run Mobile Home Park, on Cedar Circle, just off Neff Road around 11 p.m.

Neighbors told WNEM TV5 three children, who also lived at the Maple Run residence, were not home at the time of the blaze.

Firefighters arriving at the scene found that flames in the victims' modular home had spread smoke and intense heat to another, but no one else was injured.

The victims were pronounced dead less than 10 minutes after firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but the state fire marshal has been called in to help with the investigation.

Neighbors said they will organize a fundraiser to benefit the boys, ages 11 to 14.
