Hundreds Of Shoes Donated To Area School Kids
Nexteer, Meijer Employees To Distribute 400 Pairs Of Shoes

SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. -- Nexteer Automotive will hand out 400 pairs of shoes to students in Buena Vista Township Thursday evening.Nexteer, along with Meijer, Wal-Mart and Target employees, purchased the footwear.The shoes are being distributed to students at Henry Deorr Child Development Center and Brunkow Elementary School.Hendry Deorr students will be first to get shoes at their holiday concert program while Brunkow students will get theirs Wednesday, Dec. 23.A local group named “Shoes that Fit” said it hopes the donations build self-esteem by providing children with new shoes for school, allowing them to concentrate on their studies rather than circumstances.
