The search for the man accused of assaulting two people and then fleeing from police is over.

Officers arrested Alan John Miller of Attica around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Miller was wanted by the Lapeer County Sheriff's Department on felony warrants for assault with a firearm stemming from a domestic violence assault early Friday.

The Oakland County and Lapeer Police searched for six hours Friday without locating Miller.

Deputies received a tip Saturday morning that Miller was by himself at a residence on Attica Road in Attica Township.

Miller surrendered peacefully at the residence when authorities arrived.
