GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. -- One hundred years of Scouting is being celebrated in Mid-Michigan.The Boy Scouts of America showcased a special exhibition Monday at the Sloan Museum in Flint. The exhibition chronicles the stories and experiences of Boy Ccouts from 1910 to the present.Organizers said there is a lot the community can learn from the principles of Scouting."If everyone in this county lived by those 12 points, we would need very few police men, probation officers -- the crime rate would be almost non-existent,” said David T. McGregor, with the Boy Scouts of America. The Boy Scout Law calls for scouts to be trustworthy, helpful, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. The exhibit runs though the end of the month at the Sloan Museum.
