K9 Unit Tracks Down Suspect At Parent's Home

BAY COUNTY, Mich. -- Two 12-year-old boys will be charged with breaking and entering after police said they vandalized and stole from a Bangor Township high school.The teens, who have not been identified, allegedly broke into the concession stand at the football field at John Glenn High School, 3201 Kiesel Rd., just before 9 p.m. Monday.Michigan State Police said the duo entered the building, consumed hot dogs and soda pop then set fire to a box.Police believe the blaze was quickly put out by one of the suspects with a fire extinguisher, but not before they vandalized the building by pouring pop and liquid soda on the floors.Police said they also found a stolen briefcase on fire in the bleacher seats of the football stadium.A MSP K9 Unit tracked one of the suspects to a home on Broadmore Drive in Bay City. Police said the juvenile confessed to the crimes and named his accomplice.The second teen was arrested a short time later.The pair will also likely be charged with arson, larceny and malicious destruction of property.
