- Between May 12 and June 16, the City of Midland will repaint the white and yellow lines that serve as markings on Midland's major roadways. Much of the work will be completed at night, but some daytime work will also occur. No streets will be closed during this work; however, motorists may experience minor delays. Motorists should maintain a reasonable distance from the related work operations, and avoid crossing freshly painted areas if possible.
- Bay City crews will be repairing the intersection of Water Street and McEwan Street on Bay City’s northeast side. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 12, and conclude by May 30. The intersection will remain open, traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by a flag crew. Access to businesses will not be affected.
- In Saginaw, the intersection of Court Street and Congress Avenue will be rebuilt starting Monday, May 12, and continuing through June 27. Both roads will remain open to through traffic but a lane closure will be set up in each direction of Court Street to allow for the installation of a new traffic signal, the removal of the boulevard, and the installation of left turn lanes onto Congress Avenue. The city asks drivers to use alternate routes whenever possible.
- Starting May 12, Hill Road will be under reconstruction from Center Road to Genesee Road in Grand Blanc Township. Hill Road traffic will be controlled by a flag crew until school is out in June. After school is dismissed, Hill Road will be closed to through traffic but it will remain open for local residents, businesses and emergency vehicles. Other driver should use posted detours. Construction should be finished by August 15.
- The I-75 construction project from Birch Run to Bridgeport is entering its second year of a 2-year, $50 million project on 6 ¾ miles of I-75 in Saginaw County. Starting Monday, May 12, the lane shifts begin and all traffic will be shifted to the southbound side of I-75. Similar to last year, Wednesday through Saturday, three northbound lanes and two southbound lanes will be open and Saturday through Wednesday there will be two northbound and three southbound lanes open.
- Coldwater Road will be under construction from McKinley Road to Deland Road in Flushing Township. Genesee County crews will be resurfacing the roadways. Traffic will be maintained and controlled by flag crews. Work should be finished by June 30.
- The intersection of Lapeer Road and Irish Road will be under construction, just west of the city of Davison. Lapeer Road will be closed to thru traffic. Emergency, business and local traffic should follow the posted detours of Irish Road, Court Street and Gale Road. Crews will be doing reconstruction and widening. Work should be completed by June 18.
- Seymour Road in Clayton Township will be under construction from Miller Road to Bristol Road for resurfacing. Traffic in the western edge of Genesee County will be maintained and controlled by flag operators. The work should be finished on or before July 1.
