Amy Andrews

Amy is very happy to be back in Michigan after working as a journalist at stations all over the country. She feels extremely blessed to work just a short distance away from her family. Her mother, brother and sister live in Metro Detroit. Amy was born in Indiana but considers Michigan her home.

Before becoming a journalist, Amy attended Indiana University with aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. After three years pre-med, she realized her true calling was news.

Amy moved to Michigan to attend Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts where she graduated with honors.

Upon graduation she worked as a weekend sports anchor for WSYM in Lansing, Michigan. Amy then decided to return to school at Oakland University. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in print and broadcast journalism. While attending classes full-time, she worked with the Detroit Lions. After working as a news anchor/reporter for television stations in Grand Junction, CO, Laughlin, NV and San Luis Obispo, CA, Amy is delighted to be back in the Great Lakes State.

While in California, Amy made an appearance on the silver screen. She had small part in the 2007 Lindsey Lohan thriller "I Know Who Killed Me." Amy played a persistent reporter hounding the local sheriff for a story. During her time in Nevada, Amy graduated from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Citizen's Academy. She is an avid football and hockey fan and never misses a chance to watch her favorite teams play.

In January 2010, Amy and her husband Rodney welcomed their first child, Grace Elizabeth, into the world.
