Fast Food Employees Robbed, Locked In Freezer 6-02-2010

Two employees at a local Rally’s hamburger joint were locked in a freezer while two masked men robbed the restaurant.
It happened Sunday around 11 p.m. at the Rally’s location at 3588 Bay Road in Saginaw Township.
Police said two black men wearing ski masks accosted an employee taking out the trash, forced that person back inside and ordered both employees into a walk-in freezer.
Authorities said the men grabbed money from a safe before fleeing on foot.
“We're not disclosing how much money was taken from Rally's, or some other details,” said Saginaw Township Police Chief Donald Pussehl.
Saginaw Township police are still searching for those believed responsible.
Authorities are using surveillance video from surrounding businesses to help them solve the robbery.
Witnesses reported seeing a gold or tan SUV leaving the area, but they were unsure of the make or model.
Police said none of the employees was injured during the ordeal.
The restaurant’s supervisor told WNEM TV5 they plan to upgrade their security.
