Tim Horton's Purchases Help Send Kids To Camp 6-02-2010

Some local children got a chance to go to camp, all thanks to Mid-Michigan’s caffeine addicts.
Wednesday, Tim Horton’s offered 100 percent of it’s coffee sales to help send kids across the U.S. to summer camp.
The company’s Tri-City locations are expected to raise about $800 each, enough to send 16 children to camp.
About 14,000 kids across the U.S. and Canada will benefit.
Tim Horton’s is also giving the public a chance to give back to the community with every doughnut purchased.
Friday, a portion of sales at the three Saginaw County locations will go towards the Salvation Army.
It’s all part of National Doughnut Day, which was first celebrated to help the needy during the Great Depression.
