SWAT Team Called To Saginaw Neighborhood 6-08-2010

Acting on a tip, two Saginaw homes were raided by the Saginaw County Emergency Services Team shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Saginaw police and the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department team joined in the investigation, focusing on the two homes in the city of Saginaw.
At one home, in the 2100 block of Hanchett Street, sheriff's officials said they found powdered cocaine and marijuana, as well as several weapons. One person at that location was arrested.
Forty-five minutes later at a second home in the 700 block of Wayne Street, authorities said they discovered drugs, guns and six children sleeping inside.
Sheriff's deputies said two of the children were sleeping on a couch in a living room that was being used to conceal a loaded weapon underneath. Deputies said a handgun was found under a cushion of the couch.
A person was also arrested in the raid at the Wayne Street home.
Child Protective Services told WNEM TV5 it is are looking into what should be done with the children.
TV5 tried to speak with the people living at the homes that were raided, but they declined to comment.
