Details Of 3 County Courthouse Threats Released 6-22-2010

WNEM TV5 is learning more information about the threat police received to three Mid-Michigan courthouses Monday.
Authorities said on Sunday afternoon, the Mayville Police Department obtained information involving a potential threat to the Tuscola County Courthouse on the following day, Monday, June 21.
Both Genesee and Lapeer County Courts were also mentioned as targets.
A note in an envelope was discovered at a business in Mayville by a customer that outlined the threats.
The note was given to a cashier and after opening and reviewing the note, quickly called 911.
Investigators said reference was made in the note to eleven individuals being involved with actively planning attacks on the above jurisdictions. The note indicated the attacks would start in Caro on June 21.
Police said the note further indicated the group was heavily armed and a lot of people would die. Investigators spoke with several people Monday about the note.
Evidence is being processed at the Michigan State Police Crime Labs in both Bridgeport and Lansing.
Authorities said a variety of enhanced security measures have been implemented at the three courthouses and will be continued for the foreseeable future.
