Beaten Boy's Mom Found Competent For Trial 6-29-2010

A woman charged in connection with the slaying of her four-year-old son has been found competent to stand trial.
That was the ruling from a Genesee County judge Tuesday morning.
The judge found that Dominick Calhoun’s mother, Corrine Baker, will face second-degree murder charges in her son’s beating death.
Prosecutors said Dominick was severely beaten over the course of several days in April.
Baker’s boyfriend, 24-year-old Brandon Hayes, is also accused in Dominick’s death.
Hayes heard testimony from Dominick’s 8-year-old brother Monday.
Following that testimony, prosecutors said they would be filing new child abuse charges against Hayes.
