More Sex Charges Filed Against Former Teacher 6-29-2010

More charges have been filed against the former Freeland High School teacher accused of having sex with a high school student.
One day after being charged with 15 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Saginaw County, 33-year-old Marcie Lynn Rousseau has been slapped with eight new counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The wife and mother of two children turned herself in to Midland authorities Tuesday to face the new charges.
Rousseau is now accused of crossing county lines to have sex with a teenager.

The Midland County prosecutor spoke of multiple incidents involving other students, spanning back to 2002. Rousseau’s attorney told the judge these allegations were false.
The Midland County judge set an $80,000 bond, due to Rousseau’s lack of criminal history.
Monday, the Saginaw County prosecutor also charged her with six counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say the former English teacher’s interaction with the student went on from May of last year through February of this year.
Rousseau was placed on administrative leave in February after an incident that involved text messages. She resigned from the district last week after working there for nine years.
She had previously worked briefly for the Chesaning School District.
If Rousseau is found guilty, she could spend up to a dozen years in prison.
