Weekend Shooting Victims Recovering, Identified 7-05-2010

Two people were left with life-threatening injuries after separate shootings over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Saginaw Police Department said officers were dispatched to St. Mary’s late Sunday night after a shooting victim had been dropped off at the hospital.
Chelsea Renee Ennest, 17, of Saginaw, was a passenger in her vehicle when she suffered a gunshot wound to her neck, police said.
She was then transported by helicopter to Hurley Hospital where she remains in stable condition in the intensive care unit. Police said the location of the shooting is unknown.
The second shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. at the BP Gas Station on East Genesee.
Police said when officers arrived at the scene the found a crowd of about 200 people loitering.
The victim, 25-year-old Jesse Walker, also of Saginaw, had been shot several times, including in the chest. He remains in critical condition at a Saginaw hospital.
Police said several witnesses are being interviewed and they are working several leads.
