Polluted Bay City Site May Flourish Once Again 7-05-2010

Bay City will continue cleaning up Uptown at RiversEdge site this summer.
The city has about $90,000 left from from a $200,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant.
The money will pay for removing contaminated pollutants like tar and heavy metal at the downtown site.
Bids for the cleanup project will being July 14.
City officials are hoping to restore the land along the Saginaw River that once housed numerous industrial companies.
