Saginaw Police Release Identity Of Murder Victim 7-06-2010

Police Wednesday released the name and age of a man who was found dead in his Saginaw home on July, 6.
Police said 55-year-old Percy Layton died as a result of multiple wounds to the chest.
No information was released on what type of weapon was used in the murder.

Saginaw police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Tuesday morning on the city's west side.
Sgt. Joseph Dutio said officers were dispatched to 401 N. Porter St. for a report of a man down at about 1 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a 54-year-old man dead with multiple wounds to the chest area.
Dutoi said police believe the victim died within the last two days.
The man’s identity is being withheld at this time. Neighbors said he was a tenant in the lower unit of the home for the past six months.
WNEM TV5’s Brian Wood reported the same house was raided by the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department about two weeks ago.
An autopsy is planned to determine an exact cause of death.
The Michigan State Crime Lab has been called in to assist in the investigation.
