Man Kidnaps Victim With BB Gun, Police Say 7-08-2010

A 23-year-old Mount Pleasant man held another man against his will at gunpoint for nearly an hour Wednesday night.
However, Mount Pleasant police said the hand gun turned out to be a BB gun.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. at a apartment in the 3000 block of South Isabella Road.
The suspect was allegedly questioning the victim about his relationship with his girlfriend. Police said he pulled out the gun and held the 22-year-old Mount Pleasant man in the apartment’s bathroom.
After about an hour, the suspect released the victim. At that time, police said the suspect told the victim that the gun was only a BB gun.
The victim ran out of the apartment and filed a report with the police.
Through the investigation, police determined that the gun used in this incident was in fact a BB gun.
The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Isabella County Jail.
Police said the investigation is being forwarded to the Isabella County Prosecutor's Office for review.
The suspect’s identity will be released after his court arraignment.
