Heavy Storm Dumps Nearly 1 Inch Of Rain Locally 7-12-2010

There were scattered rain showers across Mid-Michigan this morning. WNEM TV5 Meteorologist Cathrine Bodak said Saginaw received around an inch of rain in the past 24 hours.
Bodak said scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon as a cold front sweeps across the area. High temperatures are going to climb into the upper 70s. Overnight patchy fog possible under mostly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will dip into the mid 60s.
Bodak said the area will dry out midweek, however showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast for Thursday.
Temperatures will also soar into the 90s as the heat returns to Mid Michigan.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Areas of fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is percent.
Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. North northeast wind around 7 mph.
Tuesday Night: partly cloudy during the evening. Mostly clear overnight. Lows 60 to 64. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming light and variable.
Wednesday: mostly sunny. Highs 87 to 91. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, turning to east.
